Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Tenders are a weeknight staple in our house. They’re quick, require zero prep, and come out golden and crispy in just 20 minutes.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. Some air fryers don’t require preheating, so check your manual.
Arrange the tenders in the basket in a single layer with a little space between each piece. Don’t overcrowd the basket—they’ll cook more evenly with airflow.
Air fry for 18-20 minutes. Flip halfway through the cooking time to ensure both sides turn golden and crisp.
Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness or slice one open to confirm the inside is hot and fully cooked.
Let them rest for 2 minutes to help the coating firm up a little more before serving.
Notes
Don’t thaw first – Cook straight from frozen for the best texture.
Shake the basket or flip the tenders – This ensures even browning.
Work in batches if needed – Overcrowding prevents proper airflow.
Add a little oil – A light brush of oil can give you an even crispier finish.
Adjust the time – Some tenders are thicker or thinner, so keep an eye on them and adjust the cooking time if necessary.
