Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets (130 grams each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (turned into a paste)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • parsley and lemon wedges (to garnish)

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and paprika to create the marinade.
  • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are evenly coated with the marinade.
  • Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Place the marinated salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not crowded.
  • Air fry the salmon fillets at 200°C (390°F) for 9-11 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets and the model of your air fryer. The salmon should be cooked through and flaky.
  • Once done, garnish the salmon fillets with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Before adding marinade or seasoning, dry the salmon with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps the marinade or seasoning stick better and makes the salmon crispier when cooking.
  • Cooking times vary based on salmon thickness and the air fryer model. Keep a close eye on the salmon and adjust the cooking time to avoid overcooking.
  • Make sure there's space between salmon fillets in the air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the salmon. It should register 125 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit (51 - 54 ° C) for medium-cooked salmon. Remember, the salmon will continue to cook slightly after being removed from the air fryer.
  • Allow the cooked salmon to rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in juicier and more flavorful salmon.
  • Clean the air fryer basket right after cooking salmon to prevent residue buildup and keep it working well.
