Start by giving your tomatoes a good rinse and patting them dry, slice them in half. If you want to use cherry or grape tomatoes, you can leave them whole or slice them in half if you prefer.
Drizzle your tomatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you're using. Toss them gently to ensure they're evenly coated.
Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and place your seasoned tomatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don't overcrowd them, do it in batches if necessary.
Air fry the tomatoes for 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the cooking time to avoid overcooking or burning.
Notes
Don't Skip the Oil: A little olive oil helps the tomatoes roast evenly and prevents them from drying out.
Season Generously: Tomatoes love salt, so don't be afraid to season them well. This intensifies their natural sweetness and brings out their full flavor.
Experiment with Different Herbs and Spices: Don't limit yourself to just salt and pepper. Italian seasoning, and fresh herbs like basil or parsley can add incredible depth to your roasted tomatoes.
Check for Doneness: Keep an eye on your tomatoes as they cook. They should be slightly shriveled and caramelized but not burnt.
