Ingredients

  • 2 english muffins
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp jam (optional)

Instructions

  • Use a knife to split the muffins in half. Splitting them before cooking helps the inside toast evenly.
  • Set the air fryer to 200°C (400°F). A short preheat helps the muffins toast quickly.
  • Place the muffin halves in the air fryer basket with the cut side facing up. Leave a little space between each piece, and avoid stacking them.
  • Cook the English muffins for 4–5 minutes at 200°C (400°F). They should look lightly golden and feel crisp on the edges.
  • Remove the muffins from the basket and spread butter, jam, or other toppings while they are still warm.

Notes

  • Use the cut side facing up so the inside becomes lightly crisp.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket. Air needs space to circulate.
  • Check at the 4-minute mark. Some air fryers cook a little faster.
  • Add butter after cooking. It melts nicely into the warm bread.</li>
