- 2 pita bread
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ⅙ tsp salt
Cut the pita bread into triangles or strips, depending on your preference.
If using pocket-style pita, separate the layers for thinner chips.
Place the pita triangles in a large bowl. Drizzle olive oil over them and toss to coat evenly.
Sprinkle your choice of seasoning and mix again to ensure every piece is well-coated.
Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Arrange the pita pieces in a single layer without overlapping in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
Cook for 7-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure they crisp up evenly.
Remove and let cool slightly—they’ll crisp up more as they cool.
- For uniform cooking, make sure the pita pieces are roughly the same size.
- Adjust time for thickness as thicker pita bread may need an extra minute or two.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket, air circulation is key to getting crispy chips, so cook in batches if needed.
- Chips can go from crisp to burnt quickly, so keep an eye on them, especially towards the end of cooking.
