These Air Fryer Tortilla Chips are quick, easy, and made with just a few basic ingredients. They come out crisp and light, and you can season them any way you like.
Start by stacking your tortillas and cutting them into triangles, just like classic tortilla chips. Try to keep the sizes even so they cook at the same rate.
Place the tortilla pieces in a bowl and drizzle over the olive oil. Toss them gently until all the pieces are lightly coated. This helps them crisp up properly.
Sprinkle over the salt and any extra seasoning you’re using. Give them another quick mix so everything is evenly distributed.
Lay the tortilla pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t stack them too much, or they won’t cook evenly. You may need to cook in batches.
Set the air fryer to 175°C (350°F) and cook for 5–7 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through so they cook evenly on all sides.
Keep an eye on them near the end of the cooking time. Once they turn golden and crisp, remove them and let them cool slightly. They will firm up a bit more as they sit.
