Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen onion rings (375 grams)

Instructions

  • Set your air fryer to 395°F (200°C) and place the frozen onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking. If you’re making a large batch, cook in multiple rounds.
  • Cook the onion rings for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking. After 10-12 minutes, check the onion rings. They should be golden brown and crispy. If they need more time, cook in 2-minute increments until they reach your preffered level of crispiness.
  • Carefully remove the onion rings from the air fryer using tongs. Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauces, or alongside your burger, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Place the frozen onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. If you’re making a large batch, cook in multiple rounds.
  • Shaking the basket halfway through cooking helps ensure that the onion rings cook evenly. This step is especially important if you’re cooking a larger batch.
  • If you want extra crispy onion rings, lightly spray them with cooking spray before cooking. This helps them brown more evenly and adds a bit of extra crunch.
  • Frozen onion rings are often pre-seasoned, but you can add a little extra flavor by sprinkling them with your favorite seasonings before cooking. Try adding garlic powder, smoked paprika, or a touch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
  • Air fryer onion rings are best enjoyed right away, while they are still hot and fresh. They can lose their crispiness if they sit out for too long.
